![]() ![]() The location is fabulous just 30 seconds walk to Callao metro. This happened twice during my 2 night stay. The hostal does not serve breakfast but there is a Té and Coffee outlet serving adequate breakfasts - Spanish and English - next door!! There is only one lift in the building and is old fashioned - if someone fails to shut it properly it will not come and collect you on the ground floor so you have a fair trudge to the 7th. However, the building shuts at 11pm and late night revellers have to buzz up to be let in and this can be heard in the room. This goes on well into the night and only seemed to begin to quiet a little after 3 am but it was never completely quiet and it speeds up again early in the morning. Both sounded as if they were ringing my unit directly. If someone called, I could hear the phone ring loudly. At night, the lower entrance door is locked so guest would ring the bell to get in.
